GET WELL SOON CARD.

 This is a get well card that I brought for Tony’s friend Peter who is in hospital at the moment. At first we thought Peter’s cancer had come back because he had cancer of the throat about ten years ago. But the doctors say he’s had a stroke and this is why he has difficulty swallowing (or dysphasia) which happens after a stroke because the brain doesn't activate muscle reflexes at the back of the throat quickly enough, so that food or liquids pass down the throat into the larynx and/or lungs - in other words they can 'go down the wrong way. So at the moment he’s being fed liquids. He’s going to have an operation to take the food that’s gone into his lungs out. It just goes to show you don’t know what’s around the corner. And we need to make the most of every day. 

It’s a lovely sunny day here at the moment so we’re going visit my son and his family this afternoon. Have a fantastic weekend blippers.
