Armistice Day 2022

When Armistice Day happens also to be Flower Friday, then really only poppies will do!  This year my offering is crocheted poppies snapped  our nearby war memorial  which has a wonderful restoration job done on it.  See my link if you wish to know more. We have visited this memorial on 11 November on 2 previous years and in 2020 there were many more poppies which rather made up for the cancelled events during the pandemic.
This year it was especially warm and today has been the warmest Remembrance day on record in the UK, although not the warmest November day which was in 2015. It was certainly warm enough for a bumble bee to approach me during the two minute silence -  I resisted the urge to photograph it!
