Alex’s book
I noticed Alex Ross’s THE REST IS NOISE on one of the four shelves of an off-Broadway theater’s bookshop (it had nothing to do with the play that was on) and took a picture of it to send Alex, to show him that his book is still going strong nearly 15 years after it first came out. Then I decided it was good enough to use as a blip. If you haven’t read the book, do — it’s a really smart, beautifully written history of twentieth-century music.
