RAF Training Camp

We observed the silence in the morning and later went swimming at the English Riviera Centre. This was once the site of the Rosetor Hotel, one of several used by the RAF in the Second World War as a base for training RAF technicians - 55,000 or more.
A little boy joyfully told me that it was Poppy Day. Reminded me of when we sent our boys to school with money for a poppy.
