His mate had been so persuasive, and since the idea of a free pint was so appealing, he agreed to come and check for this, 'hidden' door.

But now, with the ground feeling as hard as granite, and no sign of a 'hollow sound' which would reveal the 'hidden door', it was increasingly dawning on Gerald just what a colossal idiot he'd made himself look...

....his only consolation was that his wife would have sympathy and just shake her head, being a butt of peoples jokes was punishment enough.
