concrete barge

Walk into town. We had a mind to visit the Hollywood photo exhibition. Due to recent events visitors were asked to leave their bags in a locker. I didn't fancy leaving my camera. We continued along the river to the Brandenburg Gate. S Bahn home to Friedenau where we stopped for a drink. 

I think the toilet block looks a bit like a river barge. I wonder if somebody had to sit for some reason in that funny glass lookout.

Update: Some very helpful person on flickr told me the look out was used by a police man between 1955 until 1962 to manually control the traffic lights. It is now a protected structure. More on wikipedia.
