Flowers of the Forest

The piper played Flowers of the Forest, the crowd honoured the minute’s silence without exception, the ref took the knee (on his own), then kick off.
It was all downhill from there. I was feeling a bit out of sorts and hoping the game would gee me up a bit. Alas and alack, ‘twas not to be. The Jambos were poor, Livi were good, the ref was seriously dodgy, VAR was awful (or at least the guys running it were) but amazingly we got a last gasp goal to grab a draw. That’s it for five weeks now until the World Cup is over - I’m rooting for Australia!
