Day trip

I caught the train to Birmingham this morning.
I was meeting my friend , who was travelling up from Milton Keynes. 
We have been doing this day trip for quite a few years and have managed it twice this year.
We had a lovely bottomless brunch, plenty of cocktails and a good natter .
Then it was back to the station and hugs and goodbyes.
It was nice to be met off the train by my husband and our little dog.
In other news, I managed to secure two tickets to see Peter Kay . It took three and a half hours and at one point I was in a queue of 235,000 .
Anyway, we are booked for October 2024. It’s so far off, I hope we don’t forget to go.
It’s been a lovely day .
