Best foot forward

The fool on the hill got to the top of the mountain at exactly the time I did. He seems to get everywhere!

This is the Großer Speikkofel (2270m) again, with a winter dusting on. A stiff 800m haul up from Sankt Lorenzen through the woods or Spruce, Larch and Arolla pine, then across the grassy top to the craggy bits at the top.

Extra is the view across to the Mölltaler glacier, which has been looking rather sad this year. With a bit of new snow it is looking much better. But its prognosis - the same as with the other Alpine glaciers, is not good.
