Karela
I met some friends for breakfast on this Saturday morning. We were near a market so we had a look around. I admit I didn’t really know what this interesting green vegetable was (or is it a fruit?). I’ve since looked it up. Karela - also known as bitter melon or bitter gourd or even bitter apple, it is used in Asian cooking, often in a curry. I may have to try it one day. Recipes gladly accepted!
It ended up being a windy afternoon. I worked on some decluttering of clothing and this evening another episode of Vera - I’ve started right at the beginning and tonight was S2-E3.
