Queue

The feeders down at the nature reserve were busy, and this female Bulfinch was in the queue. On the river, a Cormorant was drying its wings while a Kingfisher flashed across and there were several Goosander too.

I crossed the river and headed up through Buck Wood to football at Thackley. The second round of the FA Vase saw Manchester team Abbey Hey visiting. It seemed a fairly even game, but Abbey Hey were clinical on the break and ended up winning comfortably 3-0.

There was just enough light to make my way back through the woods without needing a torch, although there were still plenty of half buried boulders to trip me up.
