Great Spotted Woodpeckers

Not one, but two of these fabulous birds, in the garden at the same time. The male hung around for quite a while, in the bright sunshine, before taking to the wing just as I pressed the shutter release. By contrast, the female chose to keep herself partially obscured, in amongst the feeders at a different station.
