Remembrance

A lovely service at the village war memorial this morning.  It was very foggy, but thankfully not cold. Stopping the traffic for the two minutes silence made all the difference.  Then many if us went across the road to the Congs for a short service.  All very poignant but uplifting.  Took a photo of all the wreaths on the way home.  The lovely knitted wreath was made by the WI ladies who made the net of poppies for the church cross which I blipped a few days ago.  Children had made lovely remembrance candles which they placed around the memorial.  Nice to see several young families at the services.  The fog has never lifted all day so I decided to make a start on the next book for book club - it will be a first if I finish it!  :-)
