Wound up in Wexford

Practical help

Today was spent helping Z and S settling in to their new house (it's not much more than a year since we were helping them settle into their previous home - a flat which they have sold for a decent profit - when this house came up for sale in exactly the area they wanted), and preparing for a new arrival.

I continued with curtain shortening - no sewing machine, so the hem has had to be stitched up by hand.  Not quite finished, partly due to interruptions to help with other tasks.

W was busy - he put a mirror up on the wall, hung several pictures, and then we all needed to put our heads together to construct the cot.  The cot (see extra) is the one which I had when the girls were babies - and it was second hand then.  We did manage to suss it out between us.  And Z had also put together her pram.

S cleared lots of boxes out of the basement to make room for the pram, and put together their spare bed.  They moved in to this house just a month ago, but it is really feeling organised and homely.

Back to R's for a roast dinner this evening.  And we'll return to Z's to finish the curtain hanging in the morning.
