Rescued

Another night of torrential rain, going into the morning, and then most of the day, until clear skies appeared just before it got dark.

The volume of water that has fallen over the last few days is taking its toll. We had to rescue the newly potted Hoya from drowning, rain lilies had their heads in the mud, and more than one tree, as shown as one of the extras, came down.

Thankfully we have a few days of sunshine forecast before the rain returns which will help everything dry out a bit.

Pity about the Scotland result but the good news of the day is that our sheltering feathered friend seems to have flown the coup. We hope so at least as there was nothing to indicate that they left us for any other reason.
