Dead Man's Fingers

This fungus is known as dead man's fingers. I can see why it is called that,  but since it is growing right next to my stepson's grave, I am not sure I am 100 percent happy about it - but it is what it is and it's a natural environment.  My stepson died 4 years ago today, aged 38, and we still miss him. He is buried in a beautiful woodland burial ground in Dalton in the Lake District.
