Hannibal's Grave

Not a great image but an extraordinary place. Within the confines of a Turkish Government facility about 40 miles east of Istanbul in the Asian part of the country is a site that is signposted "Hannibal's Grave". My hosts pointed out that nobody knows where Hannibal is actually buried so this is really an "official memorial" to him that was erected by the Turkish Government.
It's beautifully kept and is surrounded by a series of large vertical marble memorial stones equally spaced on the radius of a wide circle with information on Hannibal and his life engraved in a number of different European languages.
Unsuprisingly, given the site is not open to the general public, it is particularly restful and untroubled by tourists.
