Downy Woodpecker

Today was a cloudy cool day. I saw the first snow flurries of the season this morning but none stayed on the ground. I got out for a walk and spotted the downy woodpecker busy on the tree, I fed the nuthatches and chickadees today too. It seems that many of these small birds have decided to make the lake there winter home again this year.
