Bridled guillemot

One for the BlipBigYear I hope. Whilst visiting the Farne Islands we saw these smart little birds with a light ring around their eyes and a flash of white running behind their eye. They have around 700 pairs breeding on the Farnes and here you can see it alongside the more common Guillemot with the all dark heads.

The highlight of the day apart from seeing my first Bridled Guillemot were the puffins which featured in yesterdays blip.. I have added some to my folio
