Police Scotland Day 37

Businesses in Scotland are being urged to join a network bringing police, government and industry together to share information during major events and incidents.

The Cross-sector Safety and Security Communications (CSSC) Scotland has been set up to ensure businesses receive accurate, relevant and timely information to assist business continuity before, during and after planned events like the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, or in response to critical incidents as they unfold.

CSSC Scotland was launched on 7 May, and has been based on a model that was successfully used during the London 2012 Olympic Games. The CSSC hub allows for information to be shared quickly through a mixture of conference calls and message alerts to key industry leads, who are then responsible for sharing it further in their individual sector.
