You don't see many of these...

At one time puffers were a common sight on the Clyde as they carried important supplies from Glasgow to the Kintyre Peninsula and the islands beyond. In those days it was easier and more convenient to send goods by sea than the narrow and difficult roads of Argyll. The "rest and be thankful" did not get its name because it was an easy route.

It's good to see a "vital spark" still going strong on the high seas.
