Last morning

The sun was just lighting the horizon and reflecting beautifully in the hotel pool as we walked to breakfast this morning at 7.13 am. Lovely as ever.

After breakfast each day we have walked around the hotel  gardens and periphery enjoying the wonderful plants before setting out. We did the same this morning. I don’t know the name of the orange shrub but the early light was making it glow magnificently in the foreground of the view down to the ocean. This one was taken at 8.00 am There is a full sized tree with the same flower within the grounds but with fewer flowers on it. Other amazing flora and fauna spotted on these morning strolls can be seen in extra compilation. (There was a man with a Falcon one morning but I didn’t take a picture)

Our private transfer pick up was on time and we were soon hurtling to the airport. No hitches there either, we watched our plane land from the outdoor terrace and we were soon on our way. We landed just before 3.00 pm at Bristol airport. Damp and grey but not cold.

We got to Grace’s house in Bath just before she got back with the girls from Eda’s swimming lesson. It’s hard coming home from a holiday but seeing our granddaughters made it a lot easier.

We are just staying overnight before heading north tomorrow.

Thank you all for your stars, hearts and comments on our holiday. Wasn’t sure how keen I was to fly again, not a process I enjoy, but it’s gone well and it’s been a good one. Good to get back in the saddle as they say.
Think we now need a rest before Christmas!
