Mortars and pestles

My father, who was a pharmacist, collected these in his retirement.  (He didn't use brass ones like this in the shop.)  They were shared out among my siblings after he died; these two were my share.  I also used a mortar and pestle in my work as an analytical chemist, but again, not the brass variety.
