Blue Skies and Wind!

What a gorgeous sunny day! We're not used to having such blue skies in mid-November. The deciduous trees are gorgeous right now - late in the year for that, but October was so hot that they haven't turned until now. And seemingly all at once. And now the wind is blowing off all the leaves! What a swirling, delightful mess it all is. 

I met my friend Phil for a walk this morning over at his house on the east side. He was recently in a terrible car accident, although thankfully he is fine, but the car is totaled. So he's not driving for a while. We walked through the swirling leaves enjoying the stunning colors and caught up. We happened upon these tomatoes enjoying a sunny spot in an old window. It was such an unusual sight, and an unusual way to ripen them...although it looks like it's working!
