Smiler

Smiler -- my colleague at Tyntesfield -- is the most laid-back cat I've ever met. Today I roused him from a sound sleep and hauled him outside for some photos, for his regular column in the Tyntesfield Times. Amazingly, he stayed where I put him on this old tree stump, and held a variety of poses while I photographed him. After a while, I began to wonder if perhaps he wasn't a real cat at all, but maybe a particularly lifelike muppet.
