…in the years of our grandparents’ births. Darmstadt Museum was erected under the auspices of Grandduke Ernst-Ludwig, Princess Alice’s son and Queen Victoria’s grandson, and filled with the Grandducal collections so long not adequately housed in the Palace on the other side of the street. In the winter months I commute by car and have this sight when leaving the underfloor parking lot.
