Apple Blossom

I love the colours of apple blossom - so many shades of pink as the flowers come out. About 4 years ago we bought 2 apple trees for a fiver from a supermarket. One died but this laxton fruits every year! We are growing it up over an arch, (nicked the idea from a coutry house we visited!) Not as bright as it has been but still warm. Spent the afternoon gardening, digging out compost and watching blackbirds feast on the worms.
Lettuce, spinach, tomatoes all coming on and sweet peas planted out.
Off to Berkshire tomorrow for my mother's 92nd birthday.
