You learn something every day

We needed to go into Norwich one day this week.  Now, we have this theory  that it always rains when we go into Norwich so we checked the forecast carefully.  Yesterday was clearly out as it rained all day, but the forecast for today was for dry weather all day until the chance of a light shower at around 7pm.  So this morning we went into Norwich.  It rained.  Hard.

While walking around I spotted this blue plaque which commemorated the fact that the Post Office first tested out post codes in Norwich as long ago as 1959 before rolling them out to the rest of the country by 1974.  Who knew?
