Tried out the slats I bought from IKEA. I understood you could lay them them on top of the existing wooden frame, but no. So they’ll have to go back as the bed will be too low.

Walked into town in the afternoon, miserable, damp and raining. Bought milk in Tesco and then bus back home. Back feels a bit stiff after messing around with the slats, and then cleaning the 4 storage drawers. So relaxing in bed with the electric blanket on.
