WINTER WHITEWASH

It's Wide Wednesday....and the Theme is "Organic / Unstructured."

Well, it's organic.....but as I biologist I see structure beau coup.  But I'll let it up to the judge to decide if it fits.

We had heavy, wet snow yesterday and last night and it tends to stick to everything and makes the forest look like it's been whitewashed. Fortunately, the roadways were still warm enough that it melted on contact and the streets stayed pretty much snow free.

This is what the locals call the Kiddie Pond....a.k.a. Glenbeulah Springs. It was originally set aside as a place for youngsters to fish for trout so they didn't bother the "big boys" on the main trout streams.  It was heavily stocked to give the kids a thrill....of course you know what happened. The Big Boys decided to fish there too and just about cleaned out the Spring Hole. Still, it exists and I always like to see kids there trying their luck.
