Algae at Airthrey.

For years the loch at the University of Stirling has been hit with algal bloom. The level of Airthrey Loch has fallen a lot this year, it’s now a bit higher, and bloom is back on this part of the loch (usually the worst bit). The University is leading an algal bloom study on a bigger Loch nearby; it’s been a topic of interest here for years. The bright green weed growth contrasted with the algae was quite notable, but light was poor for photographing. A much colder afternoon.
