Inspired by a charity find.

I couldn’t resist it and it’s only two inches tall so won’t take up much room in my small flat. I think it’s a jackal. The ancient Egyptians believed that they were gods of the underworld.
It’s beautifully carved out of a hard wood and stands on a small plinth. I wonder if it is from a board game.
