"The Plan"
Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.
~ Pablo Picasso
I told you before that I'll probably bore you to tears with details of my holiday planning. Well... This is it.
Exciting news! It's more or less done. Some minor tweaking perhaps and of course, I need to confirm dates for blip meets, but the dates are more or less finalised.
The major elements are all there. What else for Australia but a gold band cutting across the month of August marking out my trip. Below that, the principle components are in blue. That is with the exception of The Red Centre, which of course, had to be in red (my rebellious streak). Below in grey, the location of each night's accommodation and below that in green, some daily highlights. Finally, in purple, are details of my proposed blip meets. They all appear to be taking place towards the end of the week...
Aussie blip pals, I'll be in touch tonight to see if they are suitable.
As for the plan itself, I'm a bit anal about such things. I love a good chart. I think that comes from my dad. He loves a good plan too. Before the days of the computer, he'd have been out with his graph paper, ruler and coloured pens, sitting at the dining room table marking up timetables for the next school year for weeks on end during the summer holidays. I think it's rubbed off.
If you look closely at the 19th, you'll notice my main element for Sydney is prefixed A City Stay. It was originally just City Stay but for my stay in Brisbane (27th) that would have meant the grey accommodation line (the calendar automatically orders by name) would have appeared above... and that simply would not have done! Told you I was anal about these things.
One more thing. I've temporarily removed details of my special photographic project, which I will keep to myself for now. Planning is ongoing for that and I have to say I am quite excited about that in itself. Hahahaha, that is more sad than anything else. I have the images in my mind's eye so I hope I can make it happen. I may or may not reveal this to everyone before I go. Then again, I might not. A select few, by necessity, are in the know. Shhhhh...
If all this wasn't exciting enough, I'm hoping that with a little good luck and following wind, I'll be all booked up by the weekend, or failing that the following weekend.
Then I need to decide if I could survive a LeeAnne style Sleeps until count!
