Hay making

The grassy easement behind our house has been doing what it’s meant to do, which is to collect run off water and channel it into the storm water drains. There has been so much rain, though, that water has collected in the easement and the gardeners haven’t been able to get onto the ground to mow the resultant knee high lush grass.

Finally the easement has been mown. Now it looks like a hayfield at harvest time. Unfortunately the gardeners’ contract doesn’t include harvesting the hay or building a hay stack.
