Duck!

I visited Fishers Green again, mainly to find out if my grebes had hatched. No luck yet.

Had a long chat with a serious birder who keeps a list. :) He had seen a hobby over Seventy Acres lake earlier but I missed it. I took some nice shots of bees and other insects on the comfrey and greylag geese close-ups using my 100mm macro.

I got more shots of sedge warblers. When they sing the low register one can see the feathers part as their throats strain.

I chose to post this because of the beautiful evening light.
