A really good birding day
With my leaving down south tomorrow - ferry permitting - I visited some of the North Uist birding haunts.
A good start with a Glaucous Gull at Loch Sandary was followed by catching up with a Cackling Goose (a sort of Canada Goose) that has been playing hide and seek with me at Balranald.
Finally, again from America, and best of all, a female Ring-necked Duck at Loch Hosta. Life in the birding fast lane.
