The monks of Fermoy

A large sculpture on the roadside.  We passed it several times in July, but never managed to stop for a photo.  Today I grabbed a "drive by" shot (W was driving), so the quality is poor.

We had driven down to view a house near Conna, about 10km from Fermoy.  It's a Scandi style wooden house, built to Passivhous standards.  And it was rather lovely, with expansive views of surrounding country.  But it's not the right house for us.

Oh well, we'll have a relaxing weekend - as we discovered earlier this year, most Estate Agents in Ireland are shut on Saturday and Sunday, so no point in attempting to contact them.  We have one viewing next Monday, and will make some further phone calls then.
