Grey...

The forecast for today was quite nice & there was a bit of blue sky as I hung the washing out! Didn't last though. Off I went on my walk around the res - filled up the feeders & it became very grey with that 'wet misty rain.' I'd wanted a longer walk but as I was pretty wet by the time I got to my car, I didn't. 20 mins later and at home, the sun was out!

I found my first bramblings of this autumn feeding on the beech mast & found a male bullfinch eating the berries from the last rowan that still has some.

Now a bit of work & cake making - this time I've soaked all the fruit in wine (might have just had a wee taster of it) and hopefully it will turn out a bit better.
