Winners!

We don't have a pub in the village at present, so the Village Hall is a popup bar every so often, organised by the Village Hall Committee and to help with the upkeep of the Hall.

And last night was quiz night/popup bar night.  Our team didn't win, but we didn't come last either.  This group "Rodger's Dodgers" won and these were their prizes.

In fact there is a pub, but it was run by a chef called Mark Hix and he decided a few months ago that it wasn't paying its way.  So he closed the business.  Now there appears to be some disagreement between the owners and the leaseholder about who owes what to whom, and while that continues the willing new leaseholder can't take over.  It seems.  I do hope that we get our local back before too long.
