Cirrus

Hooray we are in Cumbria.
As usual the weather went cooler and cloudier pretty much as we crossed the Mersey from Cheshire to Lancashire.
It was very still at ground level with the wind turbines stationary, and the windsock at the top of Shap Fell just dangling down. ( (Extra) which I can’t recall ever seeing before!
There were big banks of low cloud over the fells and this pretty feathery stuff higher up catching the setting sun.
I expect it will rain much of the week.
