Saturday chess in the Luco

I heard a really good séminaire at the ENS this morning and then J came and met me for lunch. I'd been wanting to go to Le Verre à pied  on rue Mouffetard since a friend recommended it some time ago. It is a small, family-run restaurant and we really enjoyed it. We walked off our lunch in the Luco where J watched lots and lots of chess and I just watched people. Most of the chess players are men, so I was glad to see this woman playing too. This was pretty much my ideal Saturday! :)
