En Route

Glorious weather. Like a foreign country.
Jacqui, the official birdwatcher, was with her mates at the Devon Birds Wetland Bird Conference in Exeter, so I was, well…free as a bird, and like these weekenders, heading for the Visto Lounge for a coffee. There were several people swimming at Abbey Sands, though, despite the sun, it was quite cool. Pun of the day was written on the side of a Tesco lorry - Salmon en route, and that is more or less what we had for tea. Jacqui had a great day, having no doubt regaled everyone with her birdwatching boat trip yesterday and her very rare encounter with a grey phalarope. Not just bird of the day- possibly bird of the year.
