Staying cosy
Today Geordie is modelling an M and S jumper in a rather fetching shade of moss green. I promised him that nobody would see him, so he doesn’t know I’m posting this!
We walked in the wood at Shell Bay at Elie this morning, between showers. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the wood so wet and damp. The carpet of fallen leaves was slimy and slippy, the tree bark was much darker than usual, and the burn that runs along the side of the wood has burst it’s banks in several places. The bracken on the outskirts of the wood is totally flattened by the rains, but within the woods the ferns are still green and fresh-looking.
That’s the great thing about walking in the woods, the seasons and the effects of the weather are so visible.
