Little Auk

A little auk was reported from Scapa Pier yesterday, so I went along to see if it was still there and it was, obviously. It was busy diving close to a slip and then I saw that another was closer to the boats at pier side. They dive very frequently and can be hard to photograph. Unusually, there were about five or six seals around, both grey and harbour. There is often one or two about, but maybe the heavy seas and high winds had driven them in for shelter. One seemed to be stalking the auk and a black guillemot, causing them to panic a bit. I'm not sure if the seal was really trying to take one, or just curious (extra).
