Inspired by my cat

Magnus, my polydactyl cat, has an extra digit on each toe. Sometimes known as ‘cats with thumbs’, sailors thought the extra digit made them better at catching mice. It’s unusual to have one on all four feet as Magnus has.
Magnus was estimated to be eight years old when we adopted him from the animal rescue centre seven years ago. I think he is used to fending for himself and makes it his duty to regularly check residents’ flats for vermin! He strolls around as if he owns the place.
