Allonby beach

This is Allonby beach, a long beach on a bay from Maryport to near Silloth.  Miles of beach walking and when the wind is in the right direction, kite surfing.  There is a golf links at the Maryport end.  Allonby has what you need at the seaside-ice cream.  Allonby itself was a Victorian beach resort. As you can see it was a brilliant day and this was before heavy rain and hailstone showers.  One day nice and the next day different.
