All set up

A busy morning getting things ready for a family party at our house.

We kept the food quite simple but I did make fairy cakes.  I cheated a little as I used ready made icing, it did make things sooo much quicker and less of a mess.

By 2pm we were all set up and ready for our visitors, my blip is us waiting with a glass on the go.  Claude was keeping watch over the beers in the chiller.

He was very keen to eat all the food and it was a bit of a job to keep him away from it.  He did get to lick the cheese plate when we were not paying attention.  Wonder what his tummy is going to be like tomorrow!

Rich had a lovely time catching up with his family and he did get quite a bit of time to sit down and chat. 

We had cake and coffee and everyone went off on their way.  It only took us half an hour or so to clear up and the dish washer can do the rest of the washing up tomorrow.
