I came across the remains of some tall grass, and I decided to isolate one stalk against a plain background for a minimalistic image. The evening light enhanced the golden brown color of the dried grass. The lowest temperature today was 15°F (-9°C), and that is the coldest it has been here so far this fall season. We got two inches of snow last night, so winter is trying to get an early start.
