World Cup

The World Cup got underway with a very underwhelming first match. A disallowed goal in the first few minutes because of an offside rule that confused everyone didn’t make for a good start.

It is not often your keeper charges beyond the defenders so that none is sure who the second to last defender was.

In our home league that means Dad wins over Ian as he had Ecuador - no surprise there.

We started the day with bellringing (inadvertently muffled as the Tower Captain forgot to remove them!). Then after Costa and UNO we had a nice lunch out before we settled down for the footie.

Leo has mocks starting this week so we will see how they go. He doesn’t seem stressed but also doesn’t seem to be noticeably revising!
