In the window
Backblip 1
It's MrM's Auntie M's funeral tomorrow in Hattersley, and we had intended to start out at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get there for lunchtime. Until we saw the forecast for the next two days, that is. Non-stop very heavy rain from mid-afternoon today and all through tomorrow. It would only take a lot of slow traffic, road works or an accident and we'd risk arriving too late for the funeral!
So the decision was made to leave-way mid-way through this afternoon, and we booked a room for tonight at the B&B in Richmond where we've stayed a couple of times recently. After yet more cleaning and tidying (just in case the estate agent shows someone round the flat in our absence...) we set off and, sure enough, the rain started. It got steadily heavier and, at times, the traffic came to a standstill.
Never mind, we arrived safely in Richmond in time for a meal at the B&B. Took no photos before we arrived, so you have a view of the window, taken as we sat in the bar.
